The story of the name

The site of Hunter Estate is rich in history and its name pays tribute to Ralph Eden Hunter, one of the original landowners of the area.

Ralph's company, Hunter Properties, bequeathed the piece of land that is now Taumarumaru Scenic Reserve to the Crown for use by the local community, and it was from his great grandchildren that the land for Hunter Estate was bought. It’s a proud legacy, and one that has been honoured by the care and attention that has gone into every aspect of this very special development.

All 22 titles are due to be issued before the end of 2022.

Yes, covenants will be registered on each of the 22 titles within Hunter Estate. The purpose of the covenants is to protect the value of your investment by ensuring that high standards of design, build, landscaping, and maintenance are maintained.

Yes. Hunter Estate will be a fully private gated access subdivision with all infrastructure remaining the property of Hunter Estate Management Ltd. Each section owner will have 1 share in the management company with the share being registered on the title for each property. The annual fee is estimated to initially be set at approximately $500 but will be ratified at the first AGM of the management company.

Other than general guidelines mentioned in the covenants there will be no specific design requirements. However, building plans will be required to be run by Hunter Estate Management Ltd prior to Council for building consent and will be processed within 5 working days of receipt.
